How do I invite a client to the SuiteDash portal?

Add the person as a Prospect or Client in CRM > Contacts, set up their portal, then send the Portal Access Invitation. That email gives them a unique link to register and set a password. Leads can't get portal access.

Steps

Go to CRM > Contacts and add or open the contact.
Make sure their role is Prospect or Client. If they're a Lead, use the contact's Options menu to convert them. Roles only move one way (Lead > Prospect > Client).
Get the portal ready first: folders, pages and anything else they should see on day one.
Send the Portal Access Invitation from the contact.
Optional: edit the default invitation in Flyout Menu > Email Templates. Each Kickoff Form can also have its own invitation template.

Watch out for

Once an invitation is sent, you can't take it back. Finish setting up the portal first.
The invitation only works for users in Not Invited or Invited status.
A role can't be moved backwards (Client to Prospect).

Can I invite a Lead to the SuiteDash portal?

No. Only Prospects and Clients can be sent the Portal Access Invitation, because Leads can't be given portal access. Convert the Lead first from CRM > Contacts using the contact's Options menu. Roles only move forward (Lead > Prospect > Client), so you can't move them back later, which makes it worth deciding before you convert. Can I undo or resend a Portal Access Invitation?

You can't undo it. SuiteDash says that once the invitation is sent, there's no going back, so get the portal ready first. The invitation can only be sent to users in Not Invited or Invited status.
